Fennel

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a natural nutritional supplement suitable for horses, dogs and cats. It contains anethole, flavonoids, fibre and essential oils which have a beneficial effect on digestion, respiration, immunity and the overall well-being of the animal.

It is suitable for internal and external use.

As a dietary supplement it is recommended:

• to support digestion and intestinal microflora
• bloating, colic and flatulence
• to relieve cough and loosen phlegm
• as a mild sedative for nervousness and stress
• to promote lactation in lactating females
• as an antioxidant and immunity support

For external use, it is suitable for eye inflammations and skin irritations (e.g. in the form of decoctions or poultices).

Feeding method: suitable for daily feeding, alone or as part of the feed. Ground fennel or seed decoction is most commonly used.

Dosage:

• horses: 50 g/day
• ponies and foals: 25g 
• dogs and cats: 10 - 15 mg/day per 1 kg of animal weight
